Usual temperatures& What to wear
Porto de Galinhas has very pleasant temperatures in October (28º-22ºC) and we recommend strolling in the street using light clothes like shorts, short sleeves shirts or sleeveless shirts, and sandals. Be sure not to forget your sunglasses, bathing-suit and hat. Indoors at the hotel conference there will be air conditioning and colder temperatures, and you may want to use warmer clothes.
ATM availability
We strongly recommend the sole use of credit cards. If you prefer cash, keep in mind there are no ATM available at Porto de Galinhas. Best to withdraw at the airport Banco 24 horas. USD will be exchanged to (BRL) REAIS at tourist rates. Some stores might accept trading in USD cash. In that case, beware of official and tourist exchanging rates, we suggest an agreement with the store to exchange at an intermediate rate.
Some Bank 24h ATMs in Brazil allow withdrawals with foreign bank cards, as long as the card is international and compatible with networks such as Visa (Plus), Mastercard (Cirrus/Maestro), American Express or Discover.
Requirements:
* Card must be international (credit or debit).
* Must be enabled for international withdrawals.
* Must be linked to a recognized network (e.g. Visa Plus, Mastercard Cirrus).
* The withdrawal function must be activated by the issuing bank.
Important notes:
* There may be a withdrawal limit per transaction or per day.
* Fees may be charged by Banco24Horas and the foreign bank.
* The amount will be converted to reais (BRL) based on the exchange rate of the day and possible fees.
Tip:
Check the card for the network logos (e.g. Cirrus, Plus), and confirm with the issuing bank whether withdrawals in Brazil are permitted and whether there is any need for prior authorization.
